Someday I will finish this, but I know the ending has to be that I knew of Jeffrey Epstein. I mean I knew of the story before he was arrested this time.
I did not know about the Julie Brown work from this year. Almost exactly like the Raniere piece in the NY Times, this is what swung the tide for the feds. I knew about 2003 Vanity Fair, the island, NM, Maxwell, etc. I did not know about very recent developments like unsealed documents (that has not happened yet) or the NPA being basically thrown out.
The arrest meant all kinds of other victims and reporting. So much more is known now.
I knew Epstein was a very interesting person as a narcissist. And now I know more about narcissism than I did the first time I looked. Now I am more confident in saying those are the roots.
Videos on YouTube about narcissism are a little risky. But in one of them (Dr. whatshisname from TX) started out by saying narcissism is a social disorder. When I Google “social disorder” I get “social anxiety disorder,” which is not the same thing. I do not know much about it. “Personality disorder” are more words. I am not sure how useful this list is:

UPDATE 7/15/25. Now I know a lot more about social anxiety disorder. Curious what happens next.
So what is it, narcissistic social disorder? It is hard to explain or describe. Epstein is an example.

Finally there are current pictures of Zorro Ranch online. The closest thing I can think of is scientology. This is not a normal person’s house, especially not a fourth or fifth one.
The need to show off is huge. Somehow—we still do not know much about his finances—he was able to donate to politicians and influential people as “friends.” Of course they were not friends. Even Maxwell, his best friend, was not close; where did I read recently that they were just pawns for each of them to get what they want. Friends with Bill Richardson in New Mexico? That is one example of many in terms of getting what he wants. Showing off with money is an added bonus.
One of the things that came out of Frank Report, of all places, is that Epstein graduated high school at 16. He was a wiz kid, probably 1 out of 200 or more in terms of intelligence. We know he has a brother, his father was a parks manager, and not much more about his family.
Can you say Bobby Fischer, the chess champion? Fischer had a social disorder to the point of being all alone from adolescence on. He was so smart and so good at chess that no one could get close to him, not his mother for one.
I see great similarities in Epstein. I believe that is the root of his problems—he never had and did not know love.
Of course he went to absolute extremes in basically raping a series of girls and women. He thought he could get away with it. He actually believed he could get away with it.
Put another way, it filled a need and he thought he could get away with it. It is bizarre that the only reason we know is that he was arrested in a huge federal case. That is the only way we can really see into the mind of a person who is so smart, but he could not see it and he could not understand that it would destroy him.
EDIT. I spent too much time wondering how he stopped and I may be wrong. What has come out most recently (7/15 AM) is more information on Epstein’s lawsuits. His whole career has included them, and they say a lot about him. He is smart. He knows legal evidence, civil and criminal. He has also been watched his entire career. Maybe there is no no new evidence. Maybe he even stopped.
update 7/15/25 with AI help asking the right thing (yellow not mine)
“Social anxiety and narcissism, while seemingly contrasting, can co-exist and even influence each other. Vulnerable narcissism, characterized by sensitivity, fear of judgment, and a fragile sense of self, is often linked to social anxiety. Conversely, individuals with grandiose narcissism may also experience social anxiety in situations where their self-image is threatened. Understanding this complex relationship is crucial for effective treatment and support.”
