“It is possible the Ukrainian leadership wants to demonstrate to Russia, but above all to the West, that Ukraine is not at the end of its tether,” said Schneider-Deters. “[Kyiv wants to show] that it’s still able to win the war — with further shipments of Western weapons.” (LINK)
That is what is so interesting and exciting. Is it desperate? Yes and no.
Them Guys Ain’t Dumb
Putin and his cronies are living in another century.
People also ask:
What happens if economic growth is too high?
It means that companies are producing goods and services. They’re making profits, which support employment, wages, and consumer spending and demand. However, too much GDP growth can cause a rate of inflation that’s too high, which can then impact consumers and businesses negatively.
Even if you can’t read it, like me (NY Times free articles do pop-up on Yahoo and Google news) it gives it credibility. WOMAN GETS 12 YEARS FOR $50 CONTRIBUTION TO UKRAINE. Some of us have seen it go back and forth. It might get better without Putin, but regardless he is, as Mr. Nicholls described in a recent Ukraine the Latest episode, “very ugly” and must go–by the people or through the war, somehow.
Ksenia Karolina is a pretty-sounding and easy to remember name; she is a”also known as Ksenia Khavana.” These things are annoying in their stupidity and corruption, but they are worth knowing from a credible source. The article is free.
From the front page (online) of the Washington Post and also free: bravery and upsurdity all-around.
Everyone has a cellphone and the best reporters go even further. The best news–the most memorable items to me–is the video, particularly that of the border crossing. Reporters stand there and film. They still haven’t secured it or rebuilt it. Russians cannot get there. Other amazing videos are the HIMARS destruction of the convoy, prisoners on the pavement at the border, and more riding in the back of a pick-up truck.
I’m still waiting for DW’s To the Point and France 24’s The Debate.
